Small Groups are an essential part of this community’s health as they are intended to be vehicles for discipleship and to equip members to be the Body of Christ in everyday life. To mature in faith and grow in fruitfulness, Christians need strong relationships. Our Small Groups are smaller gatherings where people form meaningful relationships to offer love and support each other.

Our Small Group sizes vary from 6 to 12 people to enhance relationships. We also facilitate Community Groups which are larger gatherings of people and vary from 12 to 60 people. These range from Routed, which caters specifically for young adults, to Wise Guys and Gals which is more geared for the older generation. More information on these is available on this site or email or contact the church office 012 654 0692.

Small Groups are spread as much as possible across the city of Centurion, facilitated by committed leaders who are supported by area Shepherds.  We encourage every interested person to contact our church office for information on the closest and most suitable group ( We would love to help you find a group that you can relate to.

“Great small groups celebrate success, suffer with one another, and expect God to do more than they can do themselves.” – Rick Howerton

Our Small Groups normally meet on Wednesday or Thursday evenings, usually between 7 pm and 9 pm, although these times may differ slightly from group to group depending on their niche. Some ladies Small Groups meet in the mornings during the week. As a general rhythm, all Small and Community Groups meet on the first Thursday evening of every month in the worship centre for Power Prayer. During government school holidays, there are no Small Group meetings or Power Prayer. For more information contact Althea at or 012 654 0692.

Please refer to our Small Groups areas to locate your closest small group.

God has used Small Groups effectively to start the New Testament churches and is most certainly still using Small Groups today with the purpose of helping people grow in their relationships with Him, with one another and to increase their influence in their everyday lives.

‘Today our world is facing five global giants: spiritual emptiness, egocentric leadership, extreme poverty, pandemic diseases, and lack of education. The public and private sectors have failed to eradicate these crippling problems. The only organisation large enough and powerful enough to take on these problems is the global network of Christian churches that exists in every corner of the world- specifically, the small groups of people within those churches.’ Rick Warren

We do not profess to have all the right answers, but part of the purpose of Small Groups is to journey together and discover more of what God wants His church to be in a rapidly changing climate.

Membership at HCCS is not about being a name on a list but about becoming a vitally connected part of a community that is on a mission. Therefore we want to spend time with those interested in membership. This happens at what we call the ABC’s of Team Membership. Dates and times for our ABC’s will follow on the website. Please see our events calendar.

Baptisms are significant events that we would love to celebrate with you If you would like to get baptized please contact the HCC South church office on 012 654 0692.

Another great way to grow and to form relationships is to volunteer at any of the many opportunities we offer. Please contact us at the office or talk to other volunteers at the iConnect Table on Sundays so that we can help you get involved.

All prayer requests are treated as confidential and handed to dedicated people to process.
