VOLUNTEERS

This community is served by a strong base of volunteers who commit themselves in various areas where they feel God can use them best according to their talents and interests. We create opportunities from time to time and welcome interested persons who want to become part of the essential teams that make our Sunday services and other meetings and outreaches possible. Some of the areas where you could become involved in are listed below:

NU-LIFE PRAYER MINISTRY

For us in the HCC South community, prayer forms an integral part of our cohesion and trust in God’s indescribable abilities to work and meet people’s needs in His timing and wisdom. We live by the Biblical principles that encourage us to pray, intercede and petition God in every situation.

‘I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.’ 1 Timothy 2: 1-4 NIV

Our Nu-Life prayer teams are available for prayer ministry, especially during and after our services, and they love to pray for anyone in need of prayer. These volunteers are trained to assist with any prayer needs ranging from personal salvation to God’s guidance through tough situations. They are committed on a rotational duty roster and undergo periodic refresher training.

If you have a desire and love to pray for people, this is certainly a wonderful ministry team to consider joining. The positive feedback we receive from so many ‘Nu-Lifers’ that they are so privileged to pray with people and their testimony is a personal blessing to them as well.
